Gander Welcomes Come From Away

Come From Away is coming home! Today, the Honourable Andrew Furey, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, announced that a home-grown, reimagined version of the internationally acclaimed theatrical production, Come From Away, will be housed in Gander, beginning in the summer of 2023.

With book, music, and lyrics by Irene Sankoff and David Hein, the Gander production will be executive produced by Come From Away’s originating producer, Michael Rubinoff.

Nationally renowned director and Newfoundlander and Labradorian Jillian Keiley is returning to the province from the National Arts Centre in Ottawa to direct Gander’s Come From Away.

Shows will take place at the Gander Arts and Culture Centre (Joseph R Smallwood Centre), under the leadership of Arts and Culture Centre director, Aiden Flynn. Performances will take place on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, beginning on July 7 with an official opening taking place on July 22.
