Overview
Visit three UNESCO World Heritage Sites on this spectacular 7-night self-drive adventure – Gros Morne National Park, L’Anse aux Meadows and Red Bay.
Your journey will bring you to Gros Morne National Park, where the Tablelands and landlocked fjords are a world away from space and time as we know it. Further up the Northern Peninsula, you will stand on the land that the Vikings once knew as Vinland – berries still flourish here even a thousand years later. Explore the life of the Vikings through the ancient community traditions and rituals at L’Anse aux Meadows National Historic Site, where the gap between the Eastern World and Western World is bridged.
And finally, you will travel to Labrador to explore the southern coast. Red Bay has a particularly rare and fascinating history, as it was once the base of the world’s first large-scale whale oil production. An ideal place for people seeking an off the beaten path experience.
